Spoken like an expert. I, too, made the mistake of comparing my first child to other kids who potty trained by 1 or 1 1/2 but as Anonymous said they will definitely do it at their own rate and in their own time. My son was long and "fluffy" - he was beginning to outgrow his pullups - that's when I was going frantic. The next step would have been purchasing a box of depends but long and behold something snapped in him and he just started using the bathroom. You can imagine how relieved I was when he conquered the bathroom scene. I have a daughter that is 2 1/2 and I am proud to say that this summer she became potty trained because I went out and purchased the "pretty girl" panties (I made them sound soooooo cute that you wouldn't want to ever mess them up). I just stopped with the pull ups altogether. She didn't like how she felt when she had an accident (and the accidents were very minimal). I, along with the babysitter - grandma, monitored when she drank and shortly thereafter took her to the bathroom. She would go just like clockwork and we made sure we made such a big deal about it. She smiled the biggest smiles - now she tells me when she made pee pee or stink stink (smile) because she is very proud of herself...
If I were you, I would do like anonymous said and get rid of the pullups except for wearing them at night and naptime. Good Luck!!!
