: : : Can anyone give me a few hints...I found some instructions for making dried fruit but you have to put it in your oven for 110 degrees and check and turn it every 5 hours...i don't want to keep my oven on for that long nor do i have a food dehydrator...

: : : Can I just slice fruit and set it out or will it brown funny or is there a faster way???? Any hints would be appreciated!

: : : Thanks!

: : One of the craft books I have says to slice your fruit to 1/4", arrange on baking sheet, separating slightly. Place in 200 degree oven for about 2 hours. Remove when fruit is leathery. Apple slices should be soaked in 1 qt. water with 2 tbsp. lemon juice prior to baking to prevent discoloration. If your oven has a fan, keep it on during the baking to remove humidity as the fruit dries.

: : Hope that helps!
