Hi Sue,
They are easy to do.
First spread the pinecones on a foil covered or old cookie sheet and bake them in the oven at about 250* for an hour to kill any 'unwanted' critters that may be hiding in the cones.
When cool place in zip lock or heavy plastic bags and sprinkle well with the craft 'Cinnamon Oil Scent' which you can buy at
Wal-Mart's, or any craft shop.....seal up tightly and let set for two -four weeks. these work great......I do it:)
