I am looking to make a tree skirt this year, and found a pattern for one that is cute for little kids. You cut fabric in the traditional round shape, and applique six inch sized hearts around the bottom of it, then sew it onto a lining. Little gifts can be tucked into the hearts, which are left open on the top. It would be cute with "gift box" shaped appliques also. Fun for the kids to check for treats on Christmas morning.
