I have Asthma, and my Doxie has been experiencing identical symptoms. It usually occurs when she is running around, chasing our other Doxie, but not always. Sometimes the attacks occur when she is just sitting in my lap. I recognize what she is going though all too well. I wonder if this is not yet recognized in the Veterinary community. We are going in next week, and will discuss this. I will post the results of the meeting.
