Liz, I understand. I had to euthanize my cat this past spring. She was 13 1/2 and I had had her since she was 5 weeks old. She had arthritis and kidney failure, she wasn't comfortable. I cried for days, but I know I did the right thing. She was in a great deal of pain constantly. I can tell you it gets better, but in a way it doesn't. I still look for her in her favorite places. She was a part of this family, as much as any human. Hang in there!
