Lip Balm/Gloss

5 to 6 Tbsp. (75 to 90 ml) sweet almond, jojoba, castor, or quality vegetable oil
1 Tbsp. (15 ml) beeswax
2 tsp. (10 ml) pure honey
10 drops essential oil of spearmint or peppermint

Melt together the oil and beeswax, in a small saucepan over low heat, or in a double boiler just until
wax is melted. Use the larger amount of oil if you want a thinner, glossier consistency. Remove from
heat. Add honey and blend mixture thoroughly.

Stir the mixture(s) occasionally as it cools to prevent separation. It should have the consistency of
petroleum jelly when ready. If you choose to add an essential oil to your lip treatment, add it after
the gloss has almost cooled and stir thoroughly.

Store in small glass or plastic cosmetic jars or any small container.

Yields approximately 3 ounces (90 ml)

Lip Gloss

Larger amounts may be made, but heat gently to soften only. Also, any
flavor of candy oil may be used for taste. For example...chocolate or
peppermint. Place in a small unique container and it makes a wonderful
gift. A brighter color may be achieved by adding a bit more lipstick.

2 tablespoons petroleum jelly
1/4 teaspoon lipstick, any color
4 drops cinnamon oil

Place petroleum jelly in small microwave container. Top with lipstick.
Microwave for 20-30 seconds on High power (100%), or until mixture has
softened. Blend well. Mix in cinnamon. Store in small container.

Coconut Lip Balm

In an old saucepan, heat up 1/2 cup of beeswax until liquid. Do this on very
low heat. Next add 1/3 cup of coconut oil and a tablespoon of flavoring. Stir
until all is liquid and mixed. Pour into your container and let harden for about
10 minutes.

Makes 7-10 lip balms.
