SOFT GINGER COOKIES

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
3/4 c. Pet milk
3/4 Tbsp. vinegar
1 tsp. ginger
1 egg
3 c. flour
1 tsp. salt
1 c. sugar
1/2 c. molasses
2 tsp. soda
1 tsp. cinnamon
1 c. shortening

Combine milk and vinegar. Cream shortening and sugar.
Add egg and molasses. Beat well; add soured milk and blend.
Sift dry ingredients together and add to first mixture. Drop
on greased cookie sheet. Bake at 375 degrees for about 10 to 12
minutes.
