PEANUT BUTTER CEREAL BARS

2 c. peanut butter
1 c. white syrup
1 c. brown sugar
4 c. Rice Krispies
2 c. Cheerios
1 c. Spanish peanuts
4 to 5 Hershey bars

Bring the sugar and syrup to a boil in large kettle.
Add the peanut butter, but do not boil. Then stir in the
Krispies, Cheerios and peanuts. Pack firmly onto cookie sheet.
Break 4 to 5 Hershey Bars over top of bars. Place in the oven
a few minutes until bars melt enough to spread. (Watch
carefully as the chocolate will burn easily.) Spread melted
chocolate over bars for icing. Cool. Cut; serve. Makes 2
dozen bars.

PEANUT BUTTER BARS

1 c. crunchy peanut butter
1 1/2 c. crushed cornflakes
1 tsp. vanilla
1 c. margarine, melted
1 1/2 c. powdered sugar

Combine all ingredients; mix well. Pour into 9-inch
square pan. Refrigerate for one hour. Cut into squares.

PEANUT BUTTER BARS

1/2 c. Karo (light)
1/2 c. brown sugar
1 c. peanut butter
2 c. Rice Krispies
1/2 stick melted butter
2 c. powdered sugar
3 Tbsp. milk
3 Tbsp. butter
3 sq. semi-sweet chocolate

Melt Karo, brown sugar and peanut butter in saucepan.
Add Rice Krispies. Pat into an 8 x 11-inch pan and refrigerate
1 hour. Beat butter, powdered sugar and milk by hand. It will
be like frosting consistency. Spread on first layer. Melt 3
tablespoons butter and chocolate. Spread on top of second
layer. Refrigerate and cut in very small pieces. Can freeze
and refreeze.
