As many of you know, my 5yo suffers from mild hearing loss. Her loss is worse at this time than when she was first tested. All indications are that she has a mild loss rising to normal at 4000hz. That's in the best case scenario, with a double insulated room. Her recommendations are for continue speech therapy which is helping, preferential seating in the classroom and now for auditory trainers. I've searching the internet for information on this type of hearing aide and have been pleased with what I have found. Does anyone have any experience with these? I understand her school district will purchase them for her, and I am investigating that. I am prepared to purchase them myself if I have to, anything so she can function in a noisy setting. Her main problem is background noise, she cannot filter out what she needs to hear from background noise. Lots of us do have that problem, but some need more help with it.
