There are numerous books & manuals you can buy at your friendly local bookstore. Probably the best would be "Internet For Dummies" (yes, that's the real title). There are also probably a lot of web sites that you can visit that will talk you through everything from downloading files to chatting to repairing your computer. The best way to find them is to go to Yahoo! (http://www.yahoo.com) and do a "search" on something like "internet tutorials.
