My message must not have sounded the way I meant it too. I did not imply to her that the road her stepsister was on, was the only road to popularity. I told her that she needed to choose the things she wanted to be popular for. She could choose the road her stepsister has taken or continue on the road she is on and make friends slowly but surly. That being popular because you are easy is not the way to go. I was looking more along the lines of what can I say to her that will make her feel better about her choices and lack of popularity, I am going to let her read your post as I feel that it reinforces what her father and I have already told her, and as all of you with teens know when they hear it from someone else they are more likly to listen
A few good friends is better than a million people you know who know you but aren't there when you need them..
