Ear piercing is such a minor issue. I can't believe all the e-mails on this topic. Perhaps it is because we have dealt with far more serious issues with our male 16 year old. He too HAD TO HAVE HIS EARS PIERCED BECAUSE HIS FRIENDS WERE. We preferred piercing to a tattoo. It was his responsibility to pay for this and to keep his ears clean. Too bad it takes so long for teenagers to realize that it's NOT what you look like on the outside that matters, it's who you are inside and how you feel that matters.
