You said he is bored. Prehaps you should check into the gifted program, It maybe that the work bores him so much he just does not want to bother, how many of us want to do something we have no intrest in.
Also the behaivor you describe, I go thru with my son who is severly ADHD with some other emotional problems, you said he was tested, what was he tested for? Did they look at ADHD or ADD...
He has you all manipulated to let him do his work the way he wants too, when he wants to, getting to be the center of attention while you stand over him to get his work done, the rest of your house is getting left out.
I would not and refuse to stand over my son with his school work. WE have set amount of time I will help him then it gets turned in or not..
If he fails a grade he has to repeat it. You are suffering the consequences of his actions, he is not..
