I am in TOTAL agreement with you Fantasia! I am not confronted with these problems as of yet my son is still too young to think that girls are anything but "eww yuck"! But I am not so old that I don't remember having sleep overs. I stayed at several at my now mother-in-laws house. She never let us sleep in the bedrooms because they were at the opposite end of the house as hers, we ALL slept in the living room, including my mother-in-law. Of all of the trouble that I got into NONE of it came from the mixed sleep overs! I will say this however, if it were my son and he wanted to go to the mixed sleep over I would have to know the parents that were hosting the event. I would talk to them in advance about what type of rules and sleeping arrangements there were going to be like. Then if I approved of all of that I would let him go.
I may be a newbie at the parenting game but I do believe that at some point you have to trust your children and let them put the values and teaching you gave them to use in the real world.
