I'm not worried about being infected. The medical profession & CDC have responded wonderfully well and fast to the recent anthrax exposures. Cipro manufacturing has increased drastically since anthrax started showing up around the country. I heard on the news this morning the company that makes Cipro is willing to waive their patent rights in order for other drug companies to produce a generic form of the antibiotic. There is currently an anthrax vaccine, but the drawback is that it takes 18 months for a full immunity to the bacteria.

As for smallpox, the disease was considered irradicated in the early 1970's and in 1972 innoculation against it was stopped. Those of us who were innoculated lost our immunity after about 10 years and would need to be re-vaccinated again. Yes, the mark on your arm is your previous smallpox vaccination site.
