Cheddar Cheese Pan Bread
1/3 c. margarine
2-1/4 c. all-purp. flour
1-1/2 shredded cheddar cheese
1 T. sugar
1 T. baking powder
1/3 t. salt
1 c. milk
Heat oven to 400.
In 9" square baking pan, melt marg. in oven (3-5 min.)
Meanwhile in med. bowl, combine all ingred.
EXCEPT milk.
Stir in milk just til moistened.
Turn dough onto lightly floured surface; knead 10 times or til smooth.
Pat or roll
dough in 12' X 6' rectangle, cut into 12 - 1" strips.
Dip each strip into melted marg., fold in half.
Place folded strips in 2 rows.
Bake 20-25 min.
