Buttermilk Biscuits
- 4 Heaping cups self rising flour
- 3/4 cups crisco shortening
- 2 cups buttermilk
Mix flour and shortening in bowl (hands work best for all the mixing) until crumbly.
Make a well in the middle and add buttermilk. Mix well.
It will be quite doughy.
For baking, use two ungreased glass pie pans.
Use pam on hands and shape biscuits about 1" or so thick.
Place biscuits in pan touching each other and bake at
500 degrees until brown.
Makes about 12 biscuits:
