Snicker Doodles
- 2 3/4 Cups sifted flour
- 1 tsp baking soda
- 2 tsp cream of tartar
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1 Cup shortening
- 1 1/2 cup sugar
- 2 eggs
- 1 tsp vanilla
- 1/4 Cup sugar
- 1 Tbsp. cinnamon
Sift together flour, soda, cream of tartar and salt. Cream shortening and 1 1/2 cups of sugar. Add eggs and vanilla. Add dry ingredients and blend well. Chill dough until easy to handle. Combine 1/4 C. of sugar and cinnamon. Roll dough into balls and dip into sugar cinnamon mixture. Cook on greased cookie sheet. Bake at 350 F for 10 - 15 minutes. Makes 4 or 5 dozen
