OLD FASHIONED CORN BREAD
- 2 cups yellow cornmeal
- 1 cups flour
- 1 cup sour cream
- 3 Tbsp. baking powder
- 2 large egg
- 1 cup cream style corn
- 1 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1/2 cup bacon fat
- Milk
Mix all ingredients together until well blended. Add enough milk to make the mixture pour easily. Place in greased muffin tins or baking pan. Place in preheated 400-degree oven until golden brown, about 20-30 minutes. Serve with butter and pure cane syrup (made in open kettle). Now you can sop your way to the New World!
