VEGETABLE STUFFING
- 1 cup butter
- 6 large carrots, pared and chopped
- 2 cup chopped celery
- 4 cups sliced mushrooms
- 2 cups chopped onion
- 2 cups chopped green pepper
- 1/2 cup sliced apples
- 2 tsp. salt
- 1 tsp. dried thyme
- dash pepper
- 4 cups fresh bread crumbs
In hot butter using large Dutch oven, over medium heat, sauté carrots, celery, mushrooms, onions, and green peppers for 10 minutes. Add apples, salt, thyme, pepper and bread crumbs. Toss lightly until mixed. Will stuff a 12-lb. turkey.
