I do one braid we call piano keys.

From the forehead you part the hair to the nape of the neck in a zig zag fasion. You would start on the side of the forehead and zig and then mid head zag, top back of head zig etc. The depth of the zigs and zags are your decision but the deeper they are the cooler it looks.

Start braiding one side from the front of the head and french braid down the side. The second braid starts back in the point of the first zig. and then braid down the side.
You can bundle up to a bun at the back or let the braids swing.

It's different.
