As parents we do our best to make our homes safe for our children, right? We hide the scissors, we lock up the chemicals, we put little nubby stickers in our tubs. Well folks, we have a hidden danger in our midst! Hide your Q tips!
Did you ever read the Q tip box and chuckle where it says "Do not insert in ear canal" Silly right?
Well, Thursday night Everett snuck out of bed and decided to play 'Aliens' He stuck Q tips in his ears and played in his room. He got tired and decided to go to bed, forgetting his 'antennae' and laid down, rupturing his right eardrum with the Q tip! There was much screaming, blood and a trip to the ER. He's ok now, but we will have to wait to see how bad the damage is and if anything is permanent. The eardrum will heal but his hearing may be affected.
So Moms and Dads.. HIDE THE Q TIPS!
