Caramel Apple Pudding

A pudding cake with caramel sauce hidden underneath

3/4 c flour
1/2 c sugar
1 tsp baking powder
1 tsp cinnamon or apple pie spice
1/4 tsp salt
1/2 c milk
1 1/2 c coarsely chopped apples
1/2 c chopped nuts

Sauce:
3/4 c brown sugar
1/4 c butter
3/4 c boiling water

Combine, stir until butter melts.

Grease bottom of 8" square pan.

Combine all ingredients. Spread in prepared pan. Prepare sauce. Pour sauce over batter.

Bake 375° 40-50 minutes until golden brown.
Serve warm with ice cream or whipped cream.
