TURNIP PIE
(Mock Apple)

5 medium turnips, peeled and
sliced very thin
1 c. brown sugar
1 stick oleo
1 prepared pie shell
1/2 c. flour
1 tsp. cinnamon
1/4 tsp. nutmeg
Into an unbaked pie shell, place the thinly sliced
turnips. Mix the sugar, flour and spices together, cutting in
the oleo until coarse and crumbly. Spread evenly over the top
of the turnips. Bake in 350 degrees oven for 45 minutes. Tastes like
apple pie!!
